What are the check-in and check-out times?Check-in time: 15:30 - 18:00 Check-out time: 9:00 - 10:30 Late Check-In: 18:00-21:00 (6pm-9pm) A €35 fee applies if you require assistance. Upon self check-in, it will be free of charge. Check-In after 21:00 (9pm) Due to the central residential location and our surrounding neighbors, checking in after 21:00 (9pm) is NOT possible. Early / late check-in and check-out Only possible upon request and availability, extra fees will apply (€35)

What is the key box?The key box is only used for self-check-in guests or when the reception is closed. You will receive further details regarding the key box before your arrival. This email clearly shows you where you find your key box ( if necessary ) and the passcode to your designated key box. The key box can also be used to leave your house key on departure if the reception is closed.

Why do I have to pay a deposit?We kindly ask you to pay a deposit (150Є), preferably in cash, upon check-in. This is to cover any damages made to your room. Once you check out, our staff will inspect the room. Your deposit will be returned upon check-out after the inspection is clear.

How do I get to the hotel?By Train and Bus To reach our vacation house from any city in the Netherlands, you can follow these steps: Take a train from your local station to Steenwijk station. From Steenwijk station, board bus No. 70 headed to Dominee Hylkemaweg. After arriving at Dominee Hylkemaweg, it's a brief 15-minute walk to our vacation house. If you are coming with your own transportation, our address is: Binnenpad 17B, 8355 BP Giethoorn. Please view the map below. Is there parking at the chalet park?You can park at parking lot 1 (P1), which is the closest to our chalet park. It is 6 euro per exit Address: Binnenpad 14, 8355BP, Giethoorn You can also park at parking lot 2 (P2), located slightly further away from our chalet park. It is free of charge but with limited parking spots. Address: Binnenpad 3, 8355BP, Giethoorn

Do you provide taxi service?We do provide Taxi service. Please contact us in advance if you would like to use this service. We charge 350 euros one way between Amsterdam / Schiphol airport and our vacation house. From Steenwijk train station to our vacation house, we charge 40 euros one way.

Is the chalet park located to the centre?You can easily walk to the centre of Giethoorn where there are shops, restaurants, and museums.

Is there a restaurant? Do you provide breakfast?Unfortunately, we do not have a restaurant in the chalet park and we also do not provide breakfast quite yet. However, the kitchens in the chalets are fully equipped. Therefore, you can make your very own tasty meal. If you would like to eat out, there are plenty of options in the village, from Italian to Chinese!

Do you clean my room everyday?We clean your room before your arrival, but this cleaning fee is already included. However, if you require extra housekeeping service, this is possible. Please contact us in advance. Housekeeping fees may vary depending on your needs.

Can I request more towels?Yes certainly! Per guest, we provide two towels. However, if you would like to request more, please contact us in advance so our housekeeping team can arrange this. An extra set of towels (2 pc) costs 6Є per person, per request.

Can I smoke in the chalet?No ðŸš. We have a strict non-smoking policy in our chalets. This is clearly mentioned in our house rules. There is a 150Є penalty. If you would like to smoke, please do so in the garden. We kindly ask you to dispose of cigarette beds responsibly to keep the area clean.

Do you provide laundry service?No, we do not provide this service. But you can use our washing machine and dryers. However, we charge 8,50Є per wash.

Do you provide boat renting services?Yes! We provide two types of boat renting services. We highly recommend reserving one day before your arrival, to get your boat well-prepared. It is also possible to book it after your arrival, but it is not guaranteed due to limited availability. Boat Rental (Boat Service 1) The cost for our vacation house guests is shown below: October till March 52 euros / 2 hours 66 euros / 3 hours 73 euros / 4 hours 115 euros / day (the boat needs to be charged after five hours of constant driving) April till September 63 euros / 2 hours 89 euros / 3 hours 98 euros / 4 hours 140 euros / day (the boat needs to be charged after five hours of constant driving) Boat Carrier (Boat Service 2) If you need a boat and an assistant to get all your guests and luggage from the parking lot (P1 or/and P2) to your chalet(s) with a boat. We charge 50 euros for this service.

What is the maximum amount of people for one room?This depends as we have different type of rooms. For the two bedroom-chalet, the maximum is 5 people. We can provide a sofa bed for an extra cost of 35€. For our three-bedroom chalets, the maximum is 6 people.

Do you provide baby beds?Yes we certainly do! We charge €10.

Can I cancel or change a reservation?This depends on which platform you booked us with. Please check the cancellation policy of the organization where you made your booking. If you booked via our website, please view the information below: Hereby conditions and cancellation policy. The applied amounts and percentages are to be paid by the guest. What is the tourist tax and when do I pay it?You'll be required to pay a tourist tax. This is 2.20Є per person per night. We kindly ask you to pay this upon check-in. If you do a self-check-in or if the front desk is closed during the time of your arrival, we kindly ask you to pay the city tax upon your departure.

Does my chalet have heating or airconditioning?Every house is equipped with an airconditioner in the living room only. There is also heating in every house. The heating can be controlled in every room in most of the houses. A manual can be provided for the heating upon request.
